Extraordinarily prolific in his field, he has published frequently in the areas of planning urban environments, design practice for the '90s, energy conservation for existing building, management education in architecture and developing methods for acquiring useful community input into local and regional strategic planning programs. Books include "Urban Design" and "User Participation in Building Design and Management." Also has done major fieldwork on sustainable futures for rain forest communities. Gives good interviews.
