Thomas was named dean of the School of Management in 2002 after helping to establish the school as a leader in international business education. Under his leadership, the School of Management has risen steadily in the Wall Street Journal ranking of the best business schools. A UB faculty member since 1968, Thomas developed the school's Executive MBA programs in Singapore and China, as well as management programs in Latvia and Hungary.
