Garvey and co-reseachers have developed the "Buffalo Bioblower" designed to eradicate airborne biological pathogens, such as anthrax, used in terrorism. It also has the potential to eradicate other airborne pathogens, such as avian flu, SARS and influenza viruses, as well as other bacteria and mold.

The project is being is in line for funding by the Department of Defense.
