Expertise:
- Design and analysis of new clinical trials for AIDS treatments
Directs UB's Laboratory for Antiviral Research, which participates in the AIDS Clinical Trials Group, funded by the NIH and pharmaceutical firms. Also directs the Antiviral Clinical Pharmacology Laboratory Unit in Erie County Medical Center, the only facility in the Buffalo area that offers pharmacologic research protocols for HIV-infected patients. Research focuses on how HIV interferes with the pharmacology of drugs being used to treat it. A fellow in the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, the highest honor the group confers on members.
