News Release KTRK-TV: Rapping weights in on managing public opinion via the InternetRelease Date: October 27, 2007 An article on KTRK-TV, an ABC affiliate in Houston, on celebrities who use the Internet to manage public opinion following a controversial event quotes Elayne Rapping, professor of American studies. "I wouldn't put anything past any of those people," she said. "And I think that they have to do this because otherwise it puts a really dark taint on the movie, that this movie was being made while someone was suicidal. If they don't say anything, then it really does call into question the ethics of the people who made this movie." |
