Mark Bartholomew's scholarship focuses on intellectual property, law and technology, with an emphasis on copyright, trademarks, advertising regulation and online privacy. 

His research explores the impact of law, culture, and technological change on society. He teaches copyright, trademarks, advertising law, and cyber law, among other classes.

Bartholomew received the UB Law School's only teaching award, the Faculty Award, in 2008 and 2012.
