5 to 10 participants complete and circulate papers prior to the convention, then give brief presentations followed by an exchange among participants. Respondents may be invited by the chair.

As seminar chair and organizer, you will required to provide the following framework for your participants:

  • Set the page length and paper deadline for your seminar participants
  • Create a listserv or email list for all participants to exchange their work
  • Structure discussion both within and beyond the session, considering the options of pre-circulated questions, response papers, bibliography, and assigned seminar partners
