The Minority Faculty & Staff Association awards two undergraduate student scholarships at the annual commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The Academic Achievement Award fund was established to provide an award to a sophomore or junior who meets high academic standards. The Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship was established to honor a Junior or Senior who demonstrates high academic standards and leadership ability, and who exemplifies a personal character that advances the spirit and philosophy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
