UB student, professor study April earthquake aftermath in Nepal

An article in the Buffalo News interviews Andreas Stavridis, assistant professor of civil, structural and environmental engineering, and UB doctoral student Supratik Bose, about their recent trip to Nepal where they studied the effects of the magnitude 7.8 earthquake on structures there.

“This was the most devastating of the earthquakes that I have visited, partly because of the magnitude of the earthquake, but more importantly, it was the quality of construction in Nepal,” Stavridis said.
