From: Nancy J. Smyth, Dean of the School of Social Work, Chair, School of Public Health and Health Professions Dean Search Committee
The search for the position of dean of the School of Public Health and Health Professions (SPHHP) has officially launched. The search committee held its initial meeting in late August. As the committee works to develop the recruitment strategy for this position, we invite members of the university community to join representatives of the search committee for listening sessions at which we will provide an overview of the search process and engage in discussion with our campus colleagues regarding their interests and priorities for the search.
Listening sessions are scheduled as follows:
For members of the Public Health and Health Professions faculty only
Monday, September 22, 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.
111 Kimball Hall, South Campus
Open session for all faculty, staff, students, alumni and others
Tuesday, September 23, 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.
The Lippschutz Room, 125 Biomedical Education Building, South Campus
If you are not able to attend a listening session, you are always welcome to offer input to the search committee by email to SPHHPDeanSearch@buffalo.edu. This account will remain active throughout the search for comments and questions regarding the search.
This website will be regularly maintained with information on the dean’s position, the search process, committee, and communications, and application and nomination procedures.
Thank you for your interest in this important leadership search. We hope to see many of our colleagues at the upcoming listening sessions. I will continue to provide updates to the campus community on the progress of this search as there is information to share.
