Call for Nominations College of Arts and Sciences Dean Search: February 12, 2016

Dear Colleagues:

The search for the next dean of the College of Arts and Sciences is proceeding apace and according to schedule. We want to thank the more than 75 faculty, staff and students who participated in last week’s listening sessions for the search for the next dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. We had two very robust and insightful conversations that helped to inform the position profile and that will be useful to the search committee members when we begin to review candidate files several weeks from now. The position profile has been finalized and is available on the search website now. Recruitment ads will be placed in numerous national outlets over the next several days.

As we continue the search for the next dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, we invite you to submit nominations to our search consultant at We need only the name of the individual you wish to nominate and his/her current institution. The search consultant will be responsible for contacting all qualified nominees to familiarize them with this leadership opportunity and ask them to submit their CV if they are interested in the position. We encourage you to nominate those whom you believe would be strong candidates, whether or not you believe they are open to considering a new opportunity. We also encourage you to suggest potential candidates who will add to the diversity of the College of Arts and Sciences.
