The search for the next dean of the College of Arts and Sciences
is proceeding apace and according to schedule. We want to thank the
more than 75 faculty, staff and students who participated in last
week’s listening sessions for the search for the next dean of
the College of Arts and Sciences. We had two very robust and
insightful conversations that helped to inform the position
profile and that will be useful to the search committee members
when we begin to review candidate files several weeks from now. The
position profile has been finalized and is available on the search
website now. Recruitment ads will be placed in numerous
national outlets over the next several days.
As we continue the search for the next dean of the College of
Arts and Sciences, we invite you to submit nominations to our
search consultant at UB.CAS@russellreynolds.com.
We need only the name of the individual you wish to nominate and
his/her current institution. The search consultant will be
responsible for contacting all qualified nominees to familiarize
them with this leadership opportunity and ask them to submit their
CV if they are interested in the position. We encourage you to
nominate those whom you believe would be strong candidates, whether
or not you believe they are open to considering a new opportunity.
We also encourage you to suggest potential candidates who will add
to the diversity of the College of Arts and Sciences.
