Vice President for Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement Search Announced

Dear UB Community:

I am pleased to report that the search for the next vice president for philanthropy and alumni engagement is now underway. A. Scott Weber, vice president for Student Life, is serving as chair of the search committee.  

The search committee includes UB senior leadership, staff, alumni and key external constituents. I am grateful to the members of this committee for their willingness to assist UB in recruiting an outstanding individual for this important leadership position.

In addition to Vice President Weber, the search committee includes:

We have secured the services of Isaacson, Miller to assist the search committee. Jack Gorman, vice president, will be the principal from the firm working on this search. Mr. Gorman has extensive experience leading the firm’s advancement practice and has built a strong network within the field of institutional advancement.

The search committee will begin their work in July, and we anticipate having an appointment made by the end of the fall semester. Throughout the coming months, Vice President Weber will update the university community on the committee’s progress. Information also will be available on the search website.
