Vietnam Veterans Health Study

We are currently analyzing data collected in our Vietnam Veteran Health Study conducted over the past year. This study examined military service, life changes, and health and mental health among Vietnam Veterans who served in the Republic of Vietnam, Laos, and/or Cambodia. We hope the results of this study will help inform health care providers and public policy in order to better serve Vietnam Veterans as they move into and through the retirement age phase.  Stay tuned for the results!

Can We Teach Students to Work with Veterans and Military Families?

2016 class

Students in the 2016 Introduction to Issues in Veteran and Military Family Care class  (Professor Jenn Weise and Dr. Tom Nochajski, instructors)

We conducted pre- and post- course evaluations with the students in our first four Introduction to Issues in Veteran and Military Family Care classes (2014-2017). In these assessments we are examined changes in students’ knowledge, self-efficacy, and behavioral intentions related to working with veterans.  We are currently writing up the findings for publication.
