This workshop is limited to IPE Faculty Facilitators.

There are NO FEES to participate in this workshop. The workshop fee is covered by the Office of Interprofessional Education.

If faculty register, but do not attend without cancelling in writing prior to the event, their Department will be charged the workshop fee of $125.

Course Description

Would you like to identify your greatest talents and turn them into strengths? People who know and use their CliftonStrengths (formally known as StrengthsFinder 2.0) are:

  • more engaged at work, more productive in their roles, happier and healthier

This course will provide you with the knowledge and strategies you need to be more effective both personally and in your teamwork! Following this course, participants will be able to:

  • describe the four domains of the CliftonStrengths;
  • identify their personal strengths using their individualized Signature Theme Report;
  • design a professional development plan to advance their leadership and teamwork skills using their identified strengths.

This course includes:

  • 4 hour seminar lead by a CliftonStrengths certified instructor
  • Individual Clifton Strengths Top 5 Assessment
  • Personalized Signature Theme Report

Course Schedule

1:00 pm    Welcome, Overview & Objectives

1:15 pm    Introduction to Strengths-based Development

  • This session introduces participants to strengths-based development versus deficit-based development. Additionally, building a development plan is introduced as a topic.

2:00 pm    “Name It” 

  • This session serves as an introduction to participant’s individual assessment results.

3:00 pm    Break

3:15 pm     “Claim It” 

  • This session has participants “own” their individual assessment results.

4:15 pm    “Aim It” 4:15 – 5:00 p.m.

  • This session has participants put their assessment results into practice.

Continuing Education Credit

Continuing Education Credit will be available for faculty in the following professions: Dental Medicine, Medicine, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Public Health, and Social Work:
