Every Student Intern must meet with an International Student Advisor to complete the check-in process, which includes an overview of immigration requirements.

After arrival in the U.S.

Contact the International Student Advisor who signed your DS-2019 to make an appointment to complete the check-in process. Bring the following items to your Check-In meeting:

  • Your original passport
  • Your original DS-2019
  • Proof of your health insurance coverage (visit the Student Medical Insurance Office located in 1Capen Hall to purchase the SUNY Medical Insurance).
  • Print your I-94 from the Customs and Border Protection website.
