Professor Gene Morse Presented at the NIH Office of AIDS Research and at the Institute of Human Virology at the University of Maryland

On August 21st, Gene Morse, PharmD, presented at the NIH Office of AIDS Research monthly seminar program, and to the Institute of Human Virology at the University of Maryland. The presentations focused on Creating Synergy between HIV Research, Clinical Pharmacology and Drug Development and Capacity Building Low and Middle Income Countries.
Morse is a SUNY Distinguished Professor and director of the Center for Integrated Global Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo. He is Principal Investigator for an ACTG HIV Pharmacology Specialty Laboratory, a NIAID HIV/AIDS Clinical Pharmacology Quality Assurance Program contract and an HIV Research Training Program from the Fogarty International Center. Morse directs the pharmacology core in the University of Rochester Center for AIDS Research and has been funded by NIDA for HIV drug interactions and substance abuse research. He is currently the director of the Drug Development Core in the UB Clinical and Translational Science Institute, the core director for the ACTG Clinical Pharmacology Specialty Laboratories and Chair of the ACTG Clinical Pharmacology Advisory Group. Morse is also the director of the UB Center of Excellence in the Global Virus Network.
