Begin by navigating to the Auto Decision / Appl What If page.
You can run this process by searching for an existing Run Control ID or you can add a new value. Creating a Run Control ID that is relevant to the process may help you remember it for future use.
If you have already created a Run Control ID, stay on the Find an Existing Value tab, click the Search button, then select the Run Control ID you want from the Search Results.
In this example we are going to create a new Run Control ID. We will begin by clicking the Add a New Value tab.
A Run Control ID is an identifier that, when paired with your User ID, uniquely identifies the process you are running. The Run Control ID defines parameters that are used when a process is run. This ensures that when a process runs in the background, the system does not prompt you for additional values.
In the Enter Emplids and Admissions Application Numbers group box, enter the EmplID (Person Number) for the Applicant/Student.
From the Search Results, click the WHIF Report. The Search may return multiple results. Click on the results with the Report Status of Completed.
In the Actions group box we will click the View Report as PDF button. It is vital not to click the Process Request button. If you do so you will not get a report with the data you need. You will then have to go to the first step of this process and redo the report.
The system enters the Academic Institution value based on your user default settings. If the Academic Institution field does not default to UBFLO update this field.
If you know the Application Nbr you can enter directly into the field.
If you do not know the Application Nbr, you can use the Look Up function (Magnifying Glass) to find the value.
From the Search Results select the appropriate Application Nbr.
Use the scroll bar at the bottom of the page to return to the left hand side of the page.
Click the scrollbar.
To initiate the process click the Run button.
To run the process and return to the previous page click the OK button.
Click the Process Monitor link to check on the status (Run Status) of your request.
Click the Refresh button until the Run Status field displays Success, and the Distribution Status displays Posted. These fields are located in the Process List group box.
If you do not know the Report Type value, use the Look Up function (Magnifying Glass) to find the value.
From the Search Results select the Report Type: WHIF
This type of AA report must be used in the scenario of admitted Transfer applicants.
Remain on the Find an Existing Value tab and enter the ID of the student for whom you wish to run the What-If Report.

To view the report in a full screen format, click the Maximize/Restore button.
When you are finished viewing the report click the Red X in the upper right hand corner to close the report.
To add additional Applicants/Students click the Add a new row (Plus sign) to add additional rows. You can also remove a row by clicking on the Delete a row button (Minus sign).
Use the scroll bar at the bottom of the page to scroll over to the right hand side of the page.
Click the scrollbar.
Once the Distribution Status displays Posted, navigate to the Request Advisement Report page. Begin this navigation by clicking the Main Menu link at the very top of the page.
Press the Tab key on your keyboard to populate the student's name in the Name field.
You have successfully run an Academic Advising What if report for an admitted Transfer Applicant.
