Begin by navigating to the Student Post page.
Use the Lookup function (Magnifying glass) to select the University at Buffalo as the Business Unit.
Enter the ID (Person number) of the student for which you would like to post a transaction.
Enter the desired information into the ID field. Enter "TRN05630".
Use the Lookup function (Magnifying Glass) to select the Account Type.
Select the Account Type.
Use the Lookup function (Magnifying Glass) to select the Item Type.
Select the Item Type.
Enter the Amount of the transaction that you are posting.
Use the Lookup function (Magnifying glass) to select the Term for the transaction.
Select the Term.
To post the transaction click the Post button located in the upper righthand corner of the page.
Use the Student Post page to create an Item Type to post a transaction to a student's account.
Use the Student Post page to post a transaction for a student.
Use the Reference Number field to enter a reference number or a note for the transaction (optional). In our example, we will leave this field blank.
The Item Effective Date field is the date that the transaction becomes effective. This field defaults to the current date.
In our example, we will not change this field.
Use the Due Date field to enter the due date if the transaction is a charge.
Note: The Due Date will be assigned when the billing process is run, so you do not have to enter it here.
You have successfully posted a transaction to an individual student account. To view this transaction on the student's account, refer to job aids SF-1002A and SF-1002B.
Enter the ID (Person number) of the student for which you would like to post a transaction.
Enter the desired information into the ID field. Enter a valid value e.g. "TRN05630".
Enter the Amount of the transaction that you are posting.
