Begin by navigating to the Set Up SACR page.
The default for Career Group SetID is UBFLO. At this time UB has only one Career Group SetID.
The default for Facility Group SetID is UBFLO. At this time UB has only one Facility Group SetID.
Move to the User Defaults 2 page by selecting the corresponding tab or the link at the bottom of the page.
The default for SetID is UBFLO. At this time UB has only one SetID.
The default for Institution Set is UBFLO. This will enable you to see the student’s account in the Campus Community Student Center. At this time UB has only one Institution Set.
Click the User Defaults 3 link at the top or bottom of the page.
Click the User Defaults 4 link at the top or bottom of the page.
Select the Carry ID field. This will carry the ID of a student you are working on from one page to another when you are changing pages in the system that contains this field.
The system will automatically display the User Defaults 1 page for your User ID.
If the Academic Institution field does not default to UBFLO update this field.
Since we only have one institution this should be set up as a default.
Enter Academic Career, Academic Group, Subject Area, Term, Academic Program, Academic Plan and Academic Sub Plan defaults as applicable to your job role.
Only enter defaults if you reference these values often since this information will automatically populate in many search and data entry pages.
Note: You cannot enter a Term default without first entering a corresponding Academic Career. Defaults can be changed on the individual pages you access as you work on one career or another.
Defaults on this page are used most frequently by the Admissions office.
Set defaults for remaining fields on the page as applicable to your job role. These include Aid Year (used by Financial Aid), Business Unit, Cashier’s Office (used by Student Financials), Application Center, Recruiting Center, Admit Type (used by Admissions), Department and Campus.
Set the defaults you need when generating transcripts and/or advisement reports using administrative pages. The Output Destination indicates where you want the transcript to go – page or printer.
Note: Do not populate the SEVIS Defaults or Printer Name fields, at this time UB does not use this functionality.
Do not change the values in the Defaults Override group box.
Note: As part of your security, you may be granted the ability to perform overrides in performing Term and Enrollment transactions. It is important to know that some overrides are appropriate to apply, but others may require additional business process steps.
Do not change the values in the Operator Group Summary group box.
