Name and UB ID, Identifies the specific individual faculty member assigned to teach the course. Do NOT use the magnifying glass to search as it will become locked. Better to look it up from another source.
Identifies the relationship between multiple components of the same course.
Once a specific field is filled in, tabbing out of that field will cause other specific fields in that section to automatically fill in as well.
If a student is actively simultaneously in multiple careers, some of these careers may be grouped for billing purposes under the name of one of the careers. This one career is called the billing career.
Framework controlling all processing within the Student Financials (SF) application.

Identifies the different structure of a course (i.e., lecture, lab, seminar, or tutorial). Components are defined at the catalog level and define the course type associated with the class section. These values reflect SUNY reporting needs.
Unit record that represents instructional content and level of the material being taught, structure for reporting, and credit awarded for successful completion.
A list of all courses that are or have been offered at each campus, with descriptions and all other course details.
Master course identification number automatically assigned by the system. Course IDs always remain with the course, even if the course is renumbered.
Unique number utilized to select the subtitle of the Topic. If chosen Course Topic Name should be displayed—APS will select. If topic ID indicated should than allow indicator to print topic title which should also be displayed.
Award for which a student is enrolled.
Classes that begin and end at various times throughout a session will have cancel, withdrawal, drop, and other default dates calculated.
Identifies classes for which the session is less than the standards created and therefore uses the system dynamic dating utility.
The date on which a value, description, or record becomes current. Depending on the type of information, the current record is based on the current date or the Term Begin Date/Last Term Activate dated defined for a term. Allows the tracking of changes over time by recording the date each change becomes effective. This allows for the entry of future-dated changes, and the ability to view changes to a record over time.
Unique identifier for each individual in HUB. Also appears as ID on some screens.
Date and time when a student or group of students can begin registering in the courses for a term.
Field that reflects maximum enrollment for a course.
Field reflects whether class is open for enrollment or not.

Identifies the funding source for a course—example state or IFR.
Institutional rules used for assigning and converting grades. Each career will maintain its own grading schemes. Grading schemes include the various grading bases assigned to individual courses and a collection of the individual grades.
Identifies the holiday schedule that applies to the class.
Unique identifier for each individual in HUB. Also appears as EMPL ID on some screens.
Identifies the method of delivery for the class. These values have been reviewed with IR for SUNY reporting purposes.

Used to provide more detail regarding where a class is offered.
In External Organizations, locations are used to track one or more addresses for an external orgnanization for mailing or contact information.
Designed to record and track important requirements that must be completed by a student during their program of study. Milestones are non-course requirements and may appear on the transcript. Milestones are used when credit is not given, but when it is necessary to record the completion, such as foreign language exemption, math placement, or teacher certification.
Data in UBSIS that uniquely identifies a person. Includes information that identifies a person, such as: name, birth date, citizenship, gender, ethnicity, address, and telephone number. Each person only has one person record in HUB.

Blocks of seats reserved for specific groups of students for specific periods of time. Start Date, Requirement Group and Cap Enrl number – Identifies the plan (major) for which seats are reserved in legacy by start date—beginning of enrollment, the group, and the number of seats by section.
An indicator on a student record that may restrict services or communicate something about the student. Easily visible to students and staff. Negative—an indicator on the system that restricts student access to one or more services (i.e.; enrolling in classes, requesting transcripts, etc.) and is easily visible to staff.
Instructional time periods within a term used for scheduling purposes.
Used throughout HUB as an alias for an academic institution or Student Financials business unit. This enables institutions to share common codes, structures, and facilities.
