Graduate and Professional Schools
Health Sciences
The Academic Health Center (AHC), a consortium of UB's five health sciences schools-- dental medicine, medicine and biomedical sciences, nursing, pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences, and public health and health professions--are helping to fill health care needs by graduating a total of nearly 1,200 professionals each year, with researchers and clinicians seeking the life-saving breakthroughs that are changing the medical landscape. Plans to expand the AHC are in progress, with more than 7,000 students, faculty, and staff to work and study on a new downtown campus for medicine and health sciences, and a tertiary health care facility to be built on the South Campus.
