Online Outreach Scholarship

The goal of the Graduate School of Education Online Outreach Scholarship is to provide assistance to students who live outside of New York State and wish to enroll at the University at Buffalo. Increasing the number of out-of-state students will ultimately increase diversity and enhance student experience for all students in our online programs.

This scholarship is ONLY available to students living outside of New York state who apply to the following programs:

Students awarded this scholarship will received $2,500.00.  It will be applied towards tution in the amount of $1,250 during each of the first two semesters. Awardees must register for two (three-credit) courses each semester.  

Application Deadline is July 31, 2016

Academic Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the Online Outreach Scholarship are as follows:

  1. Undergraduate GPA: Equal to or higher than 3.0
  2. TOEFL (for international applicants): 96
  3. A short essay: In 750-1000 words detailing how the scholarship would benefit them and the career they are preparing for.
