Using the UB Classroom to Make a Global Difference

Two UB students are using knowledge acquired in their coursework to achieve success with greener technology. Junior, Kelly Miller is perfecting a low cost sand filter that makes cleaner drinking water for third world countries. Senior, Josh Hancock launched a program that converts cooking grease to bio-diesel fuel for campus vehicles, saving UB more than $10,000 annually.
