PPG research fellow

Appropriate for: Graduate students in Planning (Note: graduate students in other departments who have a background in planning, or graduate students who have skill sets similar to those cultivated in Planning are also welcome to apply.)

Description of Opportunity: Under the direction of senior staff, PPG Research Fellows will conduct research related to the annual Community Agenda, develop policy position papers, briefs, and other materials. Reflecting the seriousness and stature of the position, PPG Research Fellows will appear on the PPG website alongside the PPG Staff, Policy Fellows, and Board Members with whom they will be working closely.

Applicants must commit to being on site at PPG for at minimum 8 hours/week (more would be welcome) for a minimum of 6 months. Areas of research focus for the fall of 2017 include climate justice, food justice, energy democracy, public transit, language access for immigrants and refugees, welfare-to-work barriers, police reform, affordable housing, and anti-displacement strategies.
