Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences

Our new downtown medical campus under construction.

From our founding as a medical school in 1846 to paving the way for future physicians, the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences builds upon its proud legacy of teaching, patient care and scientific discovery.

We will soon open our doors to the incoming class of 2021 in an all-new school on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus.

When that happens, the size of our faculty will have increased by 100 and the entering class size will grow from 140 to 180. This adds clinical services and training programs not now available in Buffalo and addresses the need for more physicians.

We are raising $200 million for the new medical school from generous alumni and friends, and we’ve made great progress.

Embrace the challenge. Help us get to the finish line by January 2018.
