Schwarzman Scholarship

This award requires university nomination or interview and cannot be applied to directly. Students must work with the Office of Fellowships and Scholarships and meet university deadlines.

Overview

Designed to prepare the next generation of global leaders, Schwarzman Scholars is the first scholarship created to respond to the geopolitical landscape of the 21st Century. Whether in politics, business or science, the success of future leaders around the world will depend upon an understanding of China’s role in global trends. Funding to pursue a one-year master’s at China’s Tsinghua University in Economics, International Studies or Public Policy.

Eligibility Requirements

  • This scholarship is open to graduating seniors or recent alumni, in all disciplines (with an interest in pursuing one of the degree programs listed in the description above).
  • Applicants may be of any citizenship.
  • English language proficiency is required, however, Chinese language proficiency is not.
  • Candidates must be at least 18 but not yet 29 years of age as of Aug. 17 of the application year.

How to Apply

Complete the Schwarzman Scholarship online application and submit transcripts and letters of recommendation to the Office of Fellowships and Scholarships by Aug. 1 to be considered.
