BUILDINGS: Capen, Norton and Talbert Hall

DESCRIPTION OF IMPACT: Fire alarm testing in accordance with the annual NYS inspection. The alarm will be
activated and will remain operating until all devices are evaluated. Evacuation of the building will not be necessary during this time.

After the alarm function testing is completed, the alarm system will be silenced. Each smoke and heat detector will then be tested and cleaned as necessary. During this work phase a technician will be stationed at the fire alarm main panel, in the event a true fire is detected the system will be activated.

In-order for each smoke detector to be evaluated, technicians will require access to all building areas protected by smoke detectors.

Your assistance and cooperation in providing access during this phase is appreciated.

Please notify all units and or departments in your building or area that will be affected by this shutdown. For electrical shutdowns, be sure that all computer terminals in your area are turned off before the scheduled time to avoid problems
