Programs

Counselors provide academic advisement and personal and group counseling to help students gain skills necessary to complete programs and obtain employment and/or college placement. All students are assigned to a counselor at the time of registration. The counselor’s name is printed on the student’s schedule. If a counselor is not assigned, please contact Ms. Heidy Galan-Honrado, supervisor of counseling and advisement, at 645-1945.

Community and College Connections conducts college survival skills workshops and courses for UBEOC students to broaden their knowledge and improve their prospects of success at the higher education level.

The University at Buffalo Educational Opportunity Center (UBEOC) Testing Center aids both students and community members in assessing their academic and vocational progress, which serves as “first steps toward the attainment of long-term educational and employment goals.”

UBEOC is proud to collaborate with the following community organization to offer satellite programs and/or extensions to community resources. 

ATTAIN is a statewide technology initiative funded by the New York State Legislature. ATTAIN provides underserved and economically challenged communities across New York state access to new technologies, education, and technology training.

UBEOC offers year-round community-based academic and workforce development programs that meets the requirements within a healthcare setting. Our instructors are dedicated to providing hands-on learning within a clinical setting.
