UB Art Gallery

Consecration ceremony for the sand mandala painting, conducted by the monks of the Drepung Loseling Monastery at the UB Art Gallery, Center for the Arts (CFA); gallery open from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. for visitors to observe creation of the mandala and view other Tibetan exhibits in the gallery, including masterworks on loan from the Ruben Museum in New York and a School of Architecture and Planning exhibit of models and photos of a unique Tibetan school with a design based on the mandala. The sand mandala exhibit will be open to the public until a deconstruction ceremony at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 19, UB's Special Day of Learning.
