"Vajra Sky Over Tibet"
Friday, September 15 at 5:30 p.m.
Student Union Theater
UB students are invited to an exclusive free screening of "Vajra Sky Over Tibet" in the Student Union Theater. According to director John Bush, "'Vajra Sky' is a cinematic pilgrimage to central Tibet, bearing witness to the indomitable faith of its Buddhist community and the imminent threat to its very survival." The film has won the praise of His Holiness the Dalai Lama himself as "a project to raise awareness of the Vajrayana Buddhist tradition of Tibet as well as the current restraints on religious freedom there."
Free popcorn will also be served. A valid student ID is required.
Market Arcade Film & Arts Center in downtown Buffalo will premiere "Vajra Sky Over Tibet" on September 8, with showings through September 14. Visit the Dipson Theaters Web site, listed below, for details.
