Make a Peace Flag for the Dalai Lama's Visit to UB

See times and locations below
Various venues

To commemorate the visit of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, UB has been holding peace flag-making events with students during orientation sessions. What is the significance of a peace flag? Peace flags are based on the most profound concepts of Tibetan Buddhism: peace flags, or Dar Cho, couple with energy of the wind to quietly harmonize the environment, imparting happiness and good fortune to all living beings. Our goal is to create more than 5,000 peace flags that will hang around campus as a special welcome to our honored guest. The Dalai Lama will immediately recognize these flags, from his own tradition, as a message of good fortune.
Please join us and help UB prepare for this historic event. We look forward to seeing you during this unique activity.

Thank you,
Volunteer Committee for the Visit from His Holiness the Dalai Lama
