The Diabetes Mentorship Program micro-credential is a student-led and doctor-and-patient supported program wherein students acquire a working knowledge of diabetes and diabetes management and treatment.
Students who enroll in the Diabetes Mentorship Program will be able to learn directly from experts on diabetes, pediatrics, dietetics, and nutrition while also interacting with their own diabetes patient.
Students will both mentor and be mentored by their diabetes patient while they travel the road of diabetes and diabetes management.
A special emphasis is placed upon assisting those in underserved populations, including but not limited to those of lower socioeconomic status, ethnic minorities, and New Americans.
