Message from CTSI Director Timothy F. Murphy, MD, SUNY Distinguished Professor of Medicine

Timothy Murphy, MD.

Our vision is to advance and accelerate clinical and translational science to reduce health disparities and improve health of our community and the nation. It is clear that people who participate in clinical research have better health outcomes, have more cost-efficient care and are more satisfied with their healthcare. Engaging our community members in clinical research will enable these benefits. We are committed to developing a diverse workforce and engaging participants who reflect the diversity of our community in our research.

Our CTSI participates actively in the CTSA consortium, a national network of more than 60 leading medical schools and academic health centers that are committed to performing research with a primary goal to improve health.

We are always looking to improve and expand our research efforts. We use a team-based approach to engage healthcare providers, community members, research staff, trainees, and faculty. We have a robust education, training and career development program to train future leaders in clinical and translational research.

We look forward to working with you to achieve our vision.

Timothy F. Murphy, MD
SUNY Distinguished Professor of Medicine
