Rules and Important Information

The university reserves the right to enter rooms, without prior notice, for health and safety reasons. Students may be removed from the campus and will be dismissed from the summer program for any of the following infractions:

  • Possession of illegal drugs or controlled substances.
  • Possession and/or consumption of alcoholic beverages.
  • Inappropriate sexual activity.
  • Missed Curfew:
    • Sunday-Thursday: Students must be in the building by 11:30 p.m. and in their rooms by midnight.
    • Friday & Saturday: Students must be in the building by 12:30 a.m. and in their rooms by 1 a.m.
  • Tampering with fire equipment (e.g., fire extinguisher, fire hoses, pull boxes). When a fire alarm sounds, please leave the building promptly.
  • Defacing university property.
  • Engaging in sports activities inside the building.
  • Removal or relocation of lounge furniture.
  • Cooking in student rooms.
  • Gambling on university premises.
  • Failure to comply with UB Student Code of Conduct.

Rooms are inspected prior to your arrival and again upon departure. Any damages will be billed to the person(s) to whom the room is assigned.

Health care services are available to summer bridge participants on an outpatient basis. Students should have their health insurance information on file with EOP and readily accessible at all times.

Remember to practice safety at all times. You are encouraged to act responsibly toward ensuring your well-being and the well-being of others. In the event of an emergency, contact your resident counselor and/or the University Police at 716-645-2222.
