Pioneering new approaches to medical and biological
research, our interdisciplinary teams of scientists are
creating new knowledge and working to translate their discoveries
to bettering human health.
Bringing together researchers from the School of Medicine and
Biomedical Sciences; the School of Engineering and Applied
Sciences; the New York State Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics
and Life Sciences; and several departments within the College of
Arts and Sciences, faculty affiliated with Molecular Recognition in
Biological Systems and Bioinformatics examine complex interactions
at the intersection of biology and chemistry.
Research addresses all levels of biology from the atomic and
molecular to the intact organism, and all areas, whether it be
chemical, molecular, genetic, cellular, tissue, organ or whole
organ systems.
