I am chiefly interested in new media and organizational communication. Within this area, I concentrate on nonprofit organizations, yet also have an interest in the workings of the financial markets. Conceptually, I am interested in questions related to why organizations communicate in specific ways with their external stakeholders. This leads me to study such areas as organizational disclosure, organizational accountability, and stakeholder relations. I am interested not only in understanding why organizations do better or worse on these dimensions, but also the effects of different disclosure, stakeholder relations, and accountability practices.
