  Course Description
This online course is designed to explore the role of teaching in our culture. The course is designed to situate aspects of the teaching profession through the examination of teaching stereotypes, media representations, historical movements, and current trends. In addition, the class will explore research on issues in teacher education such as certification and assessment, as well as political and economic influences on the profession. Students will engage in individual research topics on self-selected issues in teaching.
