  Course Description
In this course students will examine the conceptual underpinnings utilized in contemporary nursing practice, education, leadership and research. Students will determine the assumptions and philosophical underpinnings of the major conceptual approaches in nursing within their historical context. The structure, development and evaluation of key conceptual foundations in nursing will be examined. For selected conceptual approaches, students will analyze and evaluate the relevance and applicability to their projected program of research or advanced practice.
