|||||||
This course explores notions of illness, health, and health care from a sociological perspective. Students examine conceptions of health and wellness, epidemiology and the history of medicine, health disparities within the US (such as by gender, age, race/ethnicity, social class and other characteristics), and access to health care. This course is the same as SSC 322 and course repeat rules will apply. Students should consult with their major department regarding any restrictions on their degree requirements. | |||||||
