Comments
People with disabilities are a large and diverse population that requires specific attention from a public health standpoint. In this course, we will be discussing different types of disabilities, factors that affect the lives of people with disabilities and their families, public health resources existing to support this population, and disease prevention and health promotion programs aimed at improving and maintaining the health and well-being of people with disabilities. We will also discuss different aspects of emergency preparedness for people with disabilities. Pre-requisite course: PUB 101
