Special Topics course titled "Ecological Statistics". This is an applied course covering common statistical techniques used for evaluating ecological data. Examples of topics covered include data cleaning and characterization, significance testing, linear and nonlinear modeling, Bayesian approaches to statistics, model evaluation, and principle component analyses. These tools and techniques will be evaluated using the R statistical programming language to give hands-on experience and to build a reference kit to aid in future analyses. |
