Comments
This course will equip the students with the ability to analyze the data, generate insights and making predictions. This class aims to provide an overview of the basic machine learning and statistic techniques that arise in real data analytic applications. The course will focus on the foundations of machine learning, which include detection theory, learning theory, classification, regression, clustering, kernel methods, deep neural networks and reinforcement learning.

Prerequisites: Pre Requisite: Senior Standing; Approved Engineering Majors or EE Minors Only

Special topics of particular recent interest not covered in the standard curriculum. Requires dual registration in department office. This course is dual-listed with EE 559.
