Significance and role of biomaterials in tissue regeneration, drug delivery, sensors and imaging. Chemical, physical, thermal, mechanical properties of polymers, natural material, ceramics and metals as biomaterials Response of biomaterials. Material sources, scale-up, processing and manufacturability. Methodologies for scaffolding, surface modification and recognition, micro/nanoparticle fabrication.
