    This course aims to help the students to learn the most commonly used advanced control methodologies and their applications to practical systems. It will cover several powerful control algorithms in a brief way. These algorithms tentatively include linear system review, optimal control, model predictive control, iterative learning control, disturbance observer, adaptive control, H-infinity optimal control, and control techniques for nonlinear systems including gain scheduling, feedback linearization and sliding mode control. Practical examples will also be introduced for students to do course projects and explore research opportunities. Homework and final projects will be the way to evaluate students' performance.
