Course Description |
 |
 |
Students will conduct a series of hands-on experiments in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and aerodynamics in small groups. They will post-process and analyze the experimental data and compare them with available theories. Communication of the objectives, results, and conclusions is critical in any engineering position; therefore students will present their findings in both textual and graphical form in professional-style reports. Uncertainty analysis is an essential part of analyzing and presenting experimental data, and is incorporated into the labs. Finally, the design of experiments, i.e. what experiment will be conducted, and how and why it will be done, is incorporated heavily into one of the labs and as design problems in the others. |
