    URP 569 GIS Applications: Provides a framework for storing, accessing, analyzing, and reporting information for use in planning and other applications. Concentrates on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) as a technical tool by which to manipulate information in a spatial system. Covers general concepts of GIS independent of specific GIS computer software packages, while labs provide hands-on experience using latest ArcGIS software.
