HPC2 Helps Relieve Growing Pains For AHRM
Applied Healthcare Resource
Management (AHRM Inc.), a Buffalo company which manages global
clinical trials and develops study-specific electronic data capture
& biostatistics software, is experiencing growth. New customers
include three Buffalo companies, Kinex Pharmaceuticals, SmartPill Corp. and Orius Innovations.
Through HPC funding, University at Buffalo's Center for
Computational Research is helping AHRM in two ways: by providing
reliable backup and assisting with software engineering. Every
clinical trial is unique, but the CCR staff is helping modularize
and create generic software components with AHRM. The code is
available, open source, at its Google Code
repository.CCR staff share their software engineering expertise
while AHRM staff share their expertise in Microsoft web
development. In all respects, the relationship is pain free!
