Katie Henry is a second-year doctoral student in English at SUNY Buffalo. Her research examines the rhetorical performances and strategies of early modern women, focusing particularly on midwives and other women in intermediary roles. After receiving a B.A. in English from Loyola University Maryland, she completed her M.A. in Rhetoric at Carnegie Mellon University. Her research assistantships at these schools centered around digital humanities projects, locating, tagging, and coding primary materials for future scholars' use with computer-assisted analyses. She hopes to continue to explore digital humanities projects from research and pedagogical perspectives.
