Associate Professors Michael Stefanone and Melanie Green recently partnered with UB Career Services and the Center for Education Innovation to offer a series of workshops entitled, "Telling My Story." The pilot program, offered to fifteen students from a variety of disciplines, will aid participants in developing greater digital media literacy to enhance their job opporutnities after graduation. Employers no longer look at just a resume and cover letter, Career Services asserts, but look at an applicant's online presence, and this online representation can impact whether or not a candidate is hired. Workshops will cover topics including the power of narrative, public speaking, creating effective images and producing successful videos.
