My research focuses on technology's effect on human sexuality and behavior. Currently, new media has influenced and changed the way society expresses and behaves sexually. The concentraion of my studies have focused on the thought processes and motivations of individuals who use technology to fulfill certain sexual outcomes. With recent technological affordances that have encouraged sexual behaviors such as sexting, unregulated online pornography consumption, and revenge porn my area of research has become an important contribution to the field of sexual communication by creating a framework to understand these behaviors.
